DIMA ZAITSEV, Registered Architect, NCARBVadim (Dima) Zaitsev is a registered architect with more than twenty years of experience as a Project Architect and Project Manager. This experience covers a wide range of work from high-rise office projects to interior and conceptual design, urban planning, residential projects, industrial architecture, reconstruction, and historical preservation. Mr. Zaitsev has won numerous International Architectural awards and has published projects and articles around the world. In the first decade of the XXI century Dima Zaitsev Studio practice expanded to Design/Build services and Construction Management / Consulting for unique in style and program contemporary architecture. In 2001 Dima Zaitsev founded Zaitsev Studio in Atlanta, Georgia. The firm provides architectural services and focused in the areas of commercial and residential design, construction management, cost analysis, project administration, rezoning and permitting. While heading Zaitsev Studio, Dima was responsible for several significant design projects in Atlanta including: Yang Enterprises Shopping Center renovation and expansion, North Druid Hills Residents Association Master Plan, DeKalb County Building Code review and update, The Word of Truth Christian Center Expansion, Dollar Depot Store Interior, and several residential renovation projects. Zaitsev Studio has also participated in several International Design Competitions including: The Grand Egyptian Museum, Cairo, Egypt; Graphisoft Conference Center, Budapest, Hungary; Poet Joseph Brodsky Memorial, St. Petersburg, Russia; Riverfront Revitalization, Saint Paul, Minnesota, and Bus Shelter, Bloomington, Indiana. In 2000 Mr. Zaitsev joined Cooper Carry Architects, a 150 person firm in Atlanta, Georgia. At Cooper Carry Mr. Zaitsev served as a Project Architect of the Springdale Office Park, Louisville, KY and supervised production of construction documents for Emory Science 2000, a new 135,000 sf laboratory building at Emory University, Atlanta, GA. Mr. Zaitsev also worked on the PG&E National Energy Group Corporate Headquarters and Energy Trading Facility, a 450,000 sf office and trading complex in Rockville, Maryland. Native of Moscow, Russia, Mr. Zaitsev moved to Atlanta in 1990. He joined Brookwood Design Group in June 1991, and became an Associate of the firm in 1993. While at Brookwood Group, Mr. Zaitsev has worked on a number of significant projects including design, planning and 3D modeling for Turner Broadcasting Systems, The Coca-Cola Company, Chemical Bank, Disneyland, Scientific Atlanta, The Yarmouth Capital Partners, Intermet Corporation, Ben Carter Properties, and The Wakefield, a development project of the Brookwood Design Group. Mr. Zaitsev founded and directed Architectural Shop Cooperative, (ASC)
prior to joining Brookwood Group. ASC was established in Moscow in 1987
-- one of the first private architectural firms in the former USSR. In four
years under Mr. Zaitsev's leadership, ASC grew into a successful team of
architects, engineers and construction experts. Mr. Zaitsev graduated from Moscow Architectural Institute with a Bachelor of Architecture degree. He also holds a Master of Architecture degree from Georgia Institute of Technology. Mr. Zaitsev is a registered architect in the states of Georgia and California. He is also certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) In 1985, Mr. Zaitsev won First Prize in the World Biennial of Architecture
in Sofia, Bulgaria. In 1982, 1983 and 1986 Mr. Zaitsev won international
architectural awards for conceptual projects in the renowned Central Glass
International Design Competition for Japan Architecture magazine. From 1986 to 1991, he participated in numerous architectural exhibitions in the United States, Europe and Asia and had projects and articles published in the United States, Japan, Great Britain, France, Germany, Italy and the former USSR. |
