This retail center is the foundation of the Florida Panhandle's center of new urbanism, encompassing the communities of WaterColor, Seaside and Rosemary Beach. This 56-acre project includes 420,000 square feet of retail space with 70,000 square feet of office-over-retail.The generous use of natural stone, brick pavers, roof tiles and slate, underscores the architecture and spectacular "pop-up" plaza fountains. Known as a vacation destination, Destin Commons is family friendly with a childrens' play center and an oversized toy train that takes shoppers through the development. In a recent local publication survey, Destin Commons was rated higher than the beach as the best place to take children. | ||
